As an artist, I am excited to share with you my project called Liquid Mountains. This concept was born during my printmaking degree, inspired by the outstanding works of Katsushika Hokusai and his masterful woodblock prints, namely 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa'. My admiration for this piece motivated me to create something similar.
I embarked on this artistic journey by visiting Ballintoy Harbor, armed with waders and a camera - ready to capture the essence of the waves. I purposefully got as close to the water as possible, bringing my camera down to the horizon and patiently waiting for those fleeting moments when one wave collides with another. The images showcase the beauty and intensity of the ocean's motion, and the results were worth sacrificing my camera on stormy days.
All of my work is printed on Archival Matte Paper. A premium quality paper that is acid-free and possesses excellent durability. This paper has been specifically formulated to ensure that it does not deteriorate or yellow over time, making it ideal for preserving valuable images over extended periods.
Due to the size prints will be rolled in a heavy tube and posted via royal mail 24hr tracked I will send postage details via email
